The Beginning...
Alright, so over the weekend I eased into my training. Saturday I rode down to the Carnegie Science Center and watched Alps on IMAX. Very good flick indeed. Sunday I went to North Park and rode 15 miles. It was pretty hot and at times I felt pretty winded. Boy, I have a lot of work to do. Today, I slacked riding into work - but later tonight I'm heading to North Park again to ride. Now, back to the grind.

Three Months Until Thirty-Five.
Okay, so in a little over three months I'll be turning the big three-five. Sort of a milestone. Half way to 70 I suppose. So how am I celebrating? Well, I've signed up with my friend Mike Schultz of Highland Training to get my arse kicked. In a nutshell, Highland Training is:
Highland Training is a training system that uses a combination of online coaching, and in person training and testing. Use any combination of one on one training in the Highlands and online coaching to improve your current level of fitness. Learn how to have more fun, feel stronger, and work smarter not harder. Training programs can be used by everyone and are designed for each individual by ultra endurance athlete and trainer Mike Schultz.
So, I plan to keep track of all my progress on here so stay tuned for good things. So for starters..
Today.
Breakfast: Oatmeal & a Coffee
Lunch: TBD
Dinner: TBD
Activity: Rode bike into work. End of day total will be 24 miles.

Evolution of Ideas

This will be my online sketchbook, so stay tuned to see what I'm working on and where that might take me creatively. If you like you can check out my site by visiting http://www.nickcobler.com.
Right now, I have some sketches that I'm working on that will ultimately be silkscreened onto watercolor paper and then worked back into with watercolors. Kinda digging the process of going from digital to manual and see what happens. Stay tuned.
